In order to make agriculture a more productive and sustainable sector, intelligent farming makes use of cutting-edge technology like artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT). These developments give farmers the ability to optimize irrigation, fertilization, and pest management by enabling the real-time collecting and analysis of data on crop health, soil quality, and climate. While about 25% of big farms are implementing IoT, the increasing use of Edge-AI is making applications like animal monitoring, weed identification, and crop disease detection possible even in areas with poor connectivity. Although these technologies have transforming power, more general adoption is hampered by issues including high costs and accessibility constraints for small-scale farmers. This paper explores how Edge-AI and IoT are revolutionizing agriculture by examining their applications, addressing their challenges, and evaluating their role in enhancing decision-making, resource efficiency, and sustainability. With advancements in 5G and lightweight AI models, these technologies hold the promise of redefining farming practices and ensuring food security in an increasingly resource-constrained world.

摘要
