This study aims to develop a new method for identifying the presence of front roads (roads located in close proximity to buildings that ensure daily traffic and safety functions, such as evacuation and emergency response during disasters) based on the Building Coverage Ratio. This enables the evaluation of building–road proximity relationships, which have been difficult to assess in previous studies. Our newly developed method identifies the presence of front roads by verifying the intersections between polygons representing site areas generated from buildings and road polygons. In addition, we improved the method using field survey data, allowing it to identify the presence of front roads with high reliability. These results contribute to the development of a method to easily identify the proximity between buildings and roads over a wide area.

摘要
