Analysis of Physical and Chemical Indicators in the Community of San Pablo Urco-Canton Cayambe to Evaluate the State of Soil Degradation in High Mountain Grasslands
摘要
The present research work is part of the evaluation and analysis of the chemical and physical indicators of soil degradation in the grasslands of the San Pablo Urco Community, for which the present investigation was carried out with the help of the owners of the different lands. Through a composite sampling in 25 properties distributed in three altitude zones of the Community where analyzes of physical parameters were carried out such as: textural class, infiltration, porosity, soil density and runoff, and chemical parameters such as: organic matter, phosphorus, nitrates, potassium, pH and electrical conductivity. It was observed that the soils of the high mountain grasslands in the San Pablo Urco Community do not present alterations that indicate a state of degradation in the grasslands.
