Business administration students should be equipped with relevant and functional knowledge, such as management competencies, to prepare them for industry practice. The study investigates the level of management competencies among graduating students at a selected Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the Philippines in relation to industry needs. Limited studies conducted on measuring competencies among students in the country and in particular, limited studies were conducted in determining management competencies. The study aims to determine the gap between the competencies obtained by students between the two campuses and link the competencies with employment needs of the business industry. The study was conducted among 141 business administration students from three discipline courses. The result indicates that an advanced level of management competencies among graduating students. Additionally, competencies of students do not differ across the programs offered by the two campuses, however, there are significant differences in the implementation and execution of the curriculum based on the results of the study. The study suggests that benchmarking and assessment of the curriculum and instruction across the campuses should be practice regularly between campuses to obtain consistent competent graduates. Lastly, in relation to resource-based view (RBV) theory, continuous development and acquisition of highly qualified staff members of the institution contributes to the success of the program.
