It focuses on how his leadership has shaped Dubai’s transformation and progress. His leadership was pivotal in transitioning Dubai’s economy from oil-based to non-oil-based while advancing social development. The research identified leadership theories and styles within the literature and their political interplay. The study also explores the broader implications of his governance, emphasizing its relevance in tackling global issues such as climate resilience, sustainable urban development, and inclusive growth. By analyzing his strategies, the paper contributes to understanding how transformational leadership can foster innovation, adaptability, and sustainable outcomes in evolving socio-economic contexts. The study employs an integrative and narrative inquiry research method through content analysis of secondary sources. It highlights Dubai’s achievements under Sheikh Mohammed’s leadership and explores the traits that made him a global leader. The findings of this study reveal that Sheikh Mohammed exemplifies charismatic, visionary, and authentic leadership, focusing on fostering competition and embracing challenges as pathways to achieving strategic objectives. Additionally, his leadership model offers insights for addressing global challenges, providing a framework for leaders navigating complex socio-economic dynamics. Social initiatives since 2006 have improved development indicators and living standards for citizens and expatriates alike. The paper identifies how his vision and determination have fostered inclusive decision-making and effective governance, promoting progress for the UAE.
