The introduction of new medicinal and edible species from diverse geographical floras aims to develop a scientifically sound algorithm for enriching plant resource ranges, addressing national health and food security issues, while also focusing on the preservation and sustainable use of local plants through the establishment of agrotechnical parameters for cultivating promising species in Uzbekistan and beyond. For the first time in the conditions of the Tashkent Botanical Garden, Abelmoschus manihot (L.) Medik., Chamaecrista nomame (Makino) H. Ohashi, Senna obtusifolia (L.) H.S. Irwin & Barneby, Curcuma longa L. and Curcuma zedoaria (Christm.) Roscoe species have been introduced. Under new conditions, the species Abelmoschus manihot, Chamaecrista nomame and Senna obtusifolia produced seeds in the first year of vegetation. It has been established that the species Curcuma longa and Curcuma zedoaria are not adapted to winter frosts due to the intolerance of their root system and can only be cultivated in closed soil conditions.
