R8—Probabilistic Tsunami Hazard Analysis for Landslide Sources—The Lyngen Case
摘要
This recipe reviews a landslide probabilistic tsunami hazard analysis (LPTHA) based on a published study related to tsunami hazard in a fjord system in Norway. The recipe takes as input the landslide volume, location, and rate of occurrence, and uses an event tree analysis for representing the uncertainty in landslide dynamics on the tsunami generation. Numerical tsunami models are used for simulating the tsunami propagation and inundation. The present chapter outlines the different steps in the analysis and explains how such a study can be carried out. It also discusses the limitations of the methodology.
