Researching Educational Biographies and Self-Making
摘要
This chapter provides insights into the processes of the fieldwork and highlights the benefits of adopting a biographical approach to understanding students’ trajectories. By foregrounding lived experience and individual agency in relation to broader structures, this approach introduces a crucial phenomenological dimension and offers new perspectives on Islamic higher education. The chapter argues that students’ and alumni’s trajectories should be seen not only as educational endeavours but also as processes of meaning- and self-making.
