Unpacking Educational Hybrid Games

This paper explores the implementation of hybrid games in educational settings, combining digital and physical elements to enhance learning experiences. Through a systematic review of existing literature, the study examines the core components, interactions, and impacts of educational hybrid games on learning outcomes.By leveraging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), QR codes, RFID, web, and mobile applications, hybrid games create immersive and interactive learning environments. The findings highlight the benefits of hybrid games in improving student engagement, motivation, and academic achievement. Additionally, the paper discusses challenges and limitations, such as technological requirements and the need for iterative design. The review identifies the potential of hybrid games to cater to diverse learning styles and preferences, making them versatile tools in educational settings. The paper concludes with recommendations for future research and practical applications, aiming to maximize the educational potential of hybrid games and address existing challenges.
