This chapter investigates the paradoxes inherent in the rapid growth of Sino-British joint-venture universities within the Transnational Education (TNE) landscape, shaped by neoliberalism and internationalisation. Although such universities are frequently presented as spaces for cultural exchange, they also generate points of conflict as Western pedagogical models are introduced into distinct local contexts. By examining pedagogical and cultural practices in Sino-British joint-venture universities, the chapter seeks to answer questions about the authenticity of student experience and whether it can truly reflect diverse values. Adopting a postmodern perspective that foregrounds power as a central narrative, the analysis considers how pedagogical and cultural cohesion might evolve into meaningful transformation in global Higher Education (HE). This chapter argues for improving university leadership to ensure authentic experiences for students, thereby contributing to more globally emancipatory approaches to HE without boundaries.

摘要
