An Interval-Valued Intuitionistic Fuzzy SWARA Method for Ranking the Challenges of Human-Centric Manufacturing Systems in Industry 5.0

With the emergence of the Fourth Industrial Revolution at the beginning of the 21st century, which the entire world has witnessed, the interaction of governments, businesses, producers, and consumers with manufacturing systems has changed. Fundamentally, it is based on optimizing processes using new technologies with the goal of increasing efficiency. Industry 5.0, on the other hand, shifts these fully automated processes toward a more human-centric model. It aims to achieve the best outcomes by ensuring a mutually beneficial interaction between machines and humans. The aim of this study is to rank the challenges in a human-centric manufacturing system within the scope of Industry 5.0 according to their level of importance. For this purpose, the beverage sector has been examined. The challenges were identified through a literature review. Linguistic assessments regarding the importance of the identified challenges were gathered from three experts with different backgrounds working in the beverage industry. Based on these linguistic evaluations, the challenges were ranked according to their importance using the interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy SWARA method.
