A Fuzzy DEMATEL Analysis of Factors Influencing Blockchain Adoption in Healthcare Sector
摘要
The successful adoption of blockchain technology in the healthcare sector depends on the interplay of multiple, interrelated factors. This study applies a fuzzy DEMATEL approach to analyze the influence and dependency among ten key factors (Interoperability, Complexity, Scalability, Security, Organizational Readiness, Management Support, Regulatory Uncertainty, Compliance, Implementation Costs, and Economic Incentives) as identified from existing literature. Managerial evaluations, expressed in linguistic terms, were converted into triangular fuzzy numbers and aggregated into a direct relation matrix. After defuzzification and normalization, the total relation matrix was computed to derive each factor’s influence and affected degrees. This matrix was then used to classify the factors into cause and effect groups. The resulting framework enables healthcare organizations to pinpoint critical leverage points for intervention, thereby supporting more effective strategic decision-making for blockchain implementation in complex healthcare environments.
