The study aims to investigate the link shared by variables impacting renewable energy production and global economic growth. The investigation used a panel data model from the year 2000–2022 by integrating a multidimensional data framework through the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) technique to estimate the overall effect of the variables included in the research work. The findings presented that the growth of economy, sustainability and technology factors, patents, usage of renewable energy, and research publications assisted in enhancing renewable energy output. Wind energy production has a higher speed modification than its solar counterpart. The usage of sustainable energy sources was influenced by climate and other direct and indirect costs incurred in the process. Most of the lower and middle-income countries primarily use cheaper and stable sources of energy and consider renewable energy as a secondary support. This study takes forward the call for sustainability by linking renewable energy production and usage with economic growth. It will help achieve the goals and objectives of sustainable development.

摘要
