Language and communication skills are vital to our personal and professional growth and English, as a global language, has become a daily component of our personal and professional lives. In today’s work environment, individuals must have fluency in English. However, mastery in English requires understanding of all four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. To determine the impact of socio-cultural aspects and their role in influencing the communication abilities of students, the researcher surveyed 453 students of three different universities. A questionnaire was created and distributed. The demographic data were analyzed using frequency counts and percentages, while the study hypotheses were tested using the t-test and Chi-square test. The results emphasize the diverse influences on communication skills, underscoring the role of family dynamics and educational practices in shaping English proficiency among individuals.
