Document Taxonomy: Research Protocol, Grant Proposal, Manuscript, Conference Presentations
摘要
This chapter introduces the concept and process of scientific writing. It defines and explores different methods of organization, from a conceptual map to a research topic or research question. Additionally, it discusses the various research methodologies and principles necessary to conduct a robust and rigorous study. The basics of how to convert research results into a publication are presented, providing a clear and practical guide for transforming the data and findings into a coherent and well-structured document. The chapter is a brief guide that will cover the variety of documents associated with scientific publications, which, although related and overlapping, have different formats and, more importantly, different objectives and audiences. These documents include research protocols, grant proposals, short texts, manuscripts, and conference presentations, whether oral or written/visual. These documents will be examined in detail, explaining their specific structure and content.
