This article presents an initial assessment of the implementation of knowledge management (KM) in the New Information and Communication Technologies (NTIC) course at the University of Sonora. Its focus is on the performance of KM to ensure better teaching practices, considering how knowledge is represented, acquired, and organized in the educational environment. For faculty members, an efficient KM system improves access to information and enhances the teaching of digital tools. In this study, an evaluation was conducted on the instructors responsible for teaching the NTIC course, analyzing their perspectives and approaches to knowledge sharing. It was found that the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) could enhance KM within the course by facilitating access to educational materials and contributing to knowledge representation through the institutional Google Drive repository, where information can be organized and structured to facilitate access and reuse. Additionally, variance and correlation analyses were conducted to determine the relationship between NTIC knowledge and confidence in implementing it, the use of specialized software, and its connection to AI.
