Multi-system Model Calibration
摘要
In this chapter we develop and present a practical procedure for a multi-system modelMulti-system modeling calibrationModel calibration forUlva validation Ulva sp. cultivation, integrating data from different reactor-scaleReactor-scale systems setups to enhance model robustness. A key limitation of previous models was their dependency on specific cultivation environments, limiting their generalizability. To overcome this, we employed algorithm-based calibration and manual tuning using datasets from an indoor marine photobioreactor (MPBR), an outdoor brine system, and offshore sea-based experiments. Calibration was performed using data from the MPBR and brine systems, while validation was conducted using an independent dataset from the indoor system. This calibration process focused only on the reactor scale including three different cultivation systems: (1) Indoor MPBR, (2) Outdoor bottles and (3) Offshore cages. Similarly, the objective of this multi-system calibration procedure was to minimize the average and the system specific RMSRE between measured and predicted values of biomass accumulation and internal NInternal nitrogen.
