This chapter explores individual and community dimensions of Ukrainian youth’s resilience during the war, focusing on economic stability, community engagement, and resistance to disinformation. It also examines key aspects of youth identity, including self-identification, language, and values, which are essential for social cohesion in times of external aggression. Additionally, the chapter analyses factors driving youth migration to encourage their return, crucial for the post-war recovery of Ukraine. Authors observe both positive and negative trends in the lives of young people during these challenging times and highlight real-life examples of initiatives that help respond to war and build resilience of youth participating in the UNITY (Ukrainian National Identity Through Youth) programme in Ukraine, which supports Ukrainian youth in becoming self-reliant, pro-democratic, responsible, and economically strong. Data from representative youth surveys conducted within the programme is used to examine the attitudes and actions of young Ukrainian people during the war.
