Conclusion: Towards a Resilient Future—Reflections and Recommendations
摘要
This concluding chapter synthesises the book’s key findings, highlighting Ukraine’s resilience as both a response to war and a mechanism of societal transformation. It examines the historical roots of resistance, the role of decentralisation, and the mobilisation of civil society in sustaining Ukraine’s defences. Beyond Ukraine, the chapter situates the country’s struggle within a broader global context, reflecting on the erosion of the post–Second World War international order and the resurgence of power politics. It discusses the geopolitical implications of Ukraine’s resistance and its significance for democracies worldwide. The chapter concludes with reflections on sustaining resilience in the face of war fatigue, shifting international alliances, and the challenges of long-term recovery, emphasising that resilience is not just about enduring but also about shaping the future.
