Optimization of the MPPT Algorithm Using PI, SMC, BSC, and ANN Controllers: A Comparative Study
摘要
Creating accurate and reliable algorithms to achieve maximum output in a wind with varying speeds generator is a significant focus of investigation into wind engineering. This study suggests and assesses four MPPT algorithms aimed at maximizing energy Wind energy extraction system. These types are, respectively, a proportional integral (PI) controller, a nonlinear control based on sliding modes (SMC), a backstepping approach (BSC) and Artificial Neural Network (ANN). A variable wind model, was taken into account for the analysis of comparisons. Overshoot, Response times, and Steady-state error are the quantified characteristics contrasted, and the controlled parameters include setpoint tracker and setpoint accuracy. This test showed that backstepping provides a more accurate response, which translates into fewer overshoots, and Steady-state error of no more than 0.041% as well as a reaction time of around 0.0004 s.
