User experience (UX) and usability are part of Human–Computer Interaction (HCI) field that can be key quality of a system or failure indicators. In the digitalization era of industrial functions, within the Artificial Intelligence (AI) revolution, maintenance management through Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is expected to be transformed. Therefore, the HCI level between CMMS and maintenance staff will determine the exploration quality of this system and consequently, maintenance performance. The contribution of this paper is to provide initial guidelines for improving CMMS implementation within UX and usability and to propose potential enhancements by incorporating AI across three dimensions: design, research and content.
