Seaports, being the critical nodes of international trade, face serious challenges concerning the management of their environmental effects. Traditional monitoring approaches generally have serious drawbacks, such as high costs, slow response times, and low predictive capabilities. The combination of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT), referred to as AIoT, provides a revolutionary approach by facilitating ongoing real-time data gathering and sophisticated analytics, resulting in improved, precise, and proactive environmental management. This study aims to explore the potential of AIoT technologies in addressing environmental problems in seaports. Specifically, it uses a SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) analysis, supported by a systematic literature review, to evaluate their capabilities. It also provides some strategic recommendations to achieve globally sustainable and resilient port operations.

摘要
