Health Record Content
摘要
SNOMED CT® covers a wide range of health-related topics. As a result, implementers must take great care to ensure that only concepts with an appropriate meaning can be selected by the user. This can be done by designing value set bindings, which constrain all values to a specific hierarchy or subhierarchy that matches the required meaning. For example, clinical symptoms should always be selected from the |Clinical finding| hierarchy, assessment questions are always |Observable entities|, and medications should always come from the |Pharmaceutical/biologic product| hierarchy. In this chapter, we examine a range of value set bindings for common health record data elements, including allergies, investigations, diagnoses, treatments, social determinants of health, and more.
