Advances in cancer treatments and personalized medicine have led to an increasing number of cancer survivors, but they still face challenges like managing side effects and cognitive deficits. Up to 75% of non-central nervous system cancer patients continue to experience cognitive decline even after treatment. New technologies like the metaverse have found increasing space in clinical and psychological practice. In the field of neuropsychoncology the introduction of the metaverse will usher in a new era of treatment, transitioning from traditional individual therapy to collaborative therapeutic sessions conducted in a communal virtual environment. This study aimed to study health professions’ perceptions of the use of the metaverse in neuropsychoncology and how certain personality traits may influence this inclination.
