I define a magical and occult poetics as a willingness to entertain a magical worldview alongside the creative techniques of spellcraft, trance, divination, and ritual. I situate the work of CAConrad, Will Alexander, and Ariana Reines within the recent revival of magical and occult poetries, while also acknowledging the study’s limitations and pointing to future research on the evolving relationship between poetry and magic.
