Earth construction, while durable and widely used in Morocco for millennia, still raises questions about its vulnerability to earthquakes, especially after Alhaouz earthquake (September 2023), which revealed weaknesses in traditional construction techniques. The observed damages are generally related to inappropriate site choices, design errors, and the method of selecting and formulating construction materials. Studies in the literature develop a scientific approach to optimize the formulation and implementation of local materials through the adaptation of the compressible stacking model. Additionally, methods of reinforcement have been developed, showing significant improvements in the earthquake resistance of such constructions.
