The circular economy (CE) has emerged as a transformative model for sustainable industrial development, particularly in resource-intensive sectors such as oil and gas. This study investigates the awareness and perceptions affecting the adoption of CE principles in Saudi Arabia’s oil and gas industry. Using Relative Importance Index (RII), the results show that perceived leadership commitment, technological advancements, and policy incentives were found to be the most salient drivers for the adoption of CE in oil and gas sector. The implications of this study are profound for policymakers, industry leaders, sustainability advocates, and others to move toward improving the integration of the circular economy into their policy measures.
