Etymologically, deviating from the traditional origination of media and communication theories, which are often traced to disciplines such as psychology, sociology, language arts, linguistics, mathematics, physical sciences, among others, the Noahic theoretical framework is a derivative of religion, specifically, the Christian Religion. The whole import of the framework is built on the allegory of Noah in the Holy Bible. In the allegory, as documented in the sixth chapter of the book of Genesis, Noah is instructed by God to adhere to the principle of natural inclusivity and balance in preserving life in the ark he was divinely mandated to build thus: into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female” (King James Bible, 1769/2017, Gen. 6:19). The latent message in theBible passage on which the philosophical substance and conceptualisation of this framework are derived is that for a harmonious life to continue to exist, it is sacrosanct for bipolarity and binary opposition to a context or phenomenon, to always be considered and tolerated. This alludes to thefact that nature itself is polarised against two extreme ends, and the mutual exclusivity of such bipolarisation in nature engenders balance and harmony.
