The main advising scientific bodies in the EU on the renewal of glyphosate permits are the EFSA and the ECHA, and this advice is published in a number of documents. Three items will be presented in this chapter: (1) an overview of the history of glyphosate permission/renewal processes; (2) the content of the dossier, including critical questions and remarks; (3) some data on the external pressure possibly influencing the decision. This chapter ends with a general conclusion on the EFSA document(s).
