Some fundamental questions remain: (1) What is the actual situation of glyphosate use in the EU and worldwide? (2) Are there any alternatives to glyphosate? (3) What is the weight of the results of actual research in the evaluation process of glyphosate at the EU level? (4) Under the assumption that glyphosate is banned from the market, what are the consequences? Can we ban glyphosate? Do we have a valid alternative? These questions are treated in this chapter.
