The global logics derived from the bipolar geopolitical order frame both the context of the revolutionary struggle and the reactionary response in the Latin American scenario. The Cold War introduces a set of economic, political, social and cultural dichotomies that simplify the coordinates of the dispute for hegemony between the United States and the Soviet Union. However, this explanatory reasoning on the historical course of events in the second half of the short twentieth century does not prevent us from recognising the configuration of particular strategies that were agreed upon, with greater or lesser precision, to transform the concrete realities of the different countries that make up the American subcontinent.

摘要
