In this paper we are presenting the genetic optimization of the gains in proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controllers for unmanned aerial vehicles. Genetic algorithms are applied to find the optimal values of the gains in the PID controllers so the drone can follow a given desired trajectory. The results of the optimized controller are compared against a non-optimized PID controller to show the advantages of utilizing genetic algorithms for this task.

摘要
