The study analysed data on traffic flow and the bus system in Najaf city to understand the characteristics of public transportation. The results showed that Najaf city has two public transportation options: buses and other forms of public transport. Buses account for 16.2% of travel, while public transport is a commonly used mode. Private cars make up 77.1% of total travel, while public transport accounts for 22.9%. The study also found that scheduled intercity transportation is the most common mode, with Level A representing 84.6% of the total.
