Evaluation of Asphalt Concrete Mixture Stiffness Based on Multi-Criteria Decision Making (AHP Method)
摘要
This study employed the Analytic Hierarchy Process technique to improve the decision efficiency of binder, aggregate, and mixture parameters concerning the stiffness of asphalt concrete mixtures. The primary criteria were separated into sub-criteria, namely: penetration, viscosity, and percentage of binder content (binder criteria); surface area and percentage of loss Anglos (aggregate criteria); and bulk density as well as percentage of air voids (mixture criteria). The improved Analytic Hierarchy Process was utilized to determine the importance of each criterion-based index. Thereafter, the radar chart method was used to thoroughly assess the performance of various types of asphalt concrete, in terms of both quality and statistics. In summary, this study evaluated an appropriate technique for blending the design of asphalt concrete mixtures to select the optimum choice in terms of stiffness. To consider all technical parameters, it used concordance analysis, one of the compensation models included in the Multi-Criteria Decision-Making framework. It concluded that concordance analysis, which uses a pairwise comparison strategy, is an effective method for integrating the abovementioned criteria it prioritises alternatives and supplies the most suitable option. Therefore, it can be utilised as a superior method of combining the design of asphalt concrete mixtures compared to traditional methods.
