In the daily relationships and practices of people, Qi as a material entity and a frequently used word is easier to observe, express, and study is what I learned in my investigations. Does Qi, with preliminary holistic value, have the same significance for other aspects of people’s lives, such as belief in life. In the field, the discovery, experience, and further investigation of Qi at the levels of faith and life is a gradual step-by-step process. To be precise, I discovered the importance of Qi through a field survey of people’s faith and life, so I turned to the term and its practice in people’s daily lives. Compared with daily life, the concept of Qi at the faith level is not as easily grasped and understood as it is in people’s daily vocabulary. The meaning of this Qi is very subtle, and few valuable clues can be obtained from people’s words. However, this does not mean that this Qi is completely metaphysical. We can analyze the symbolic meaning of things through the practices and beliefs of people as well as the objects they use, so that it can be recognized by most people in a clear and lucid manner. This task is the main content of this chapter.
