This chapter examines the flowing souls and their transformative figures, which bridge the gap between living human beings and Chinese supernaturals, such as ghosts, ancestors, and gods. The common characteristics of living humans’ souls and supernaturals reveals their unity and fluidity from a holistic view. So, the folk beliefs in the soul cater to the cosmological question of the origin and the final destination of human beings. Although there are certain paradoxes in the mechanism of cosmology, people are not concerned and still cherish it. At the end of this article, I will attempt to provide an explanation of the paradox.
