This chapter will show how cultural routes can be an example of tourism for everyone. Despite being renowned for their beauty and historical and religious significance, many people feel unwelcome on such routes due to physical barriers and inadequate services, which can prevent people with sensory or physical disabilities from accessing them. The challenge is to energise the relationship between tourism and sustainability, considering the needs of people with disabilities via social innovation, supporting the transition to inclusive tourism. This requires horizontal and vertical coordination among a plurality of institutional and social actors and their ability to negotiate agreements, share goals and cooperate to achieve them. Consensus building and strategic partnerships are the foundations of a sound symbiosis between all actors for a durable and responsible tourism, considering the need to empower the local community.
