The most tragic fate was reserved for the children. It is already well-known that everywhere, they were slaughtered mercilessly. Initially, the government had decided to spare children up to the age of 15. Later, a new order was issued to amend this earlier decision, instructing that only children under the age of seven should be spared. Alongside the Armenian men of the six Armenian provinces, children were massacred in the most terrible circumstances.
