Flooding is considered one of the most crucial and widespread natural hazards due to its devastating and catastrophic effects that endanger lives and cause property damage in the affected areas in San Teodoro, Bunawan, Agusan del Sur, Philippines. With effective flood risk assessment and strategies, it has been established for dealing with future floods. The study aims to identify flood-prone risk zones using a combination of variables by mapping them based on multiple indicators: slope, elevation, rainfall, soil type, drainage density, and distance to the main channel. The QGIS-MCDA technique was conducted utilizing the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method to determine the relative value of each indicator in the specified area of study. The result of the AHP flood risk map determined which zone is the most flooded one to the least flooded one. The study’s findings revealed and illustrated essential factors for aiding the community in crafting flood risk mitigation plans to prepare for future flooding in the designated study area. Moreover, it has showcased a screening technique to pinpoint areas prone to flooding, necessitating more thorough modelling for accurate assessment.
