Technical terms are an integral part of any technical or scientific documentation. When it comes to education, it's crucial to offer clear definitions of these terms. However, conventional methods, such as glossaries, might inadvertently sideline certain individuals, particularly those with limited fluency in written language. Deaf individuals, reliant on sign language, face barriers when educational materials are primarily presented in written spoken languages. To address this issue, our project endeavors to develop an online platform catering to deaf students, offering explanations of technical terms in sign language. Recognizing the linguistic distinction between sign language and spoken language, our platform employs text mining and information extraction techniques to elucidate concepts not inherently present in sign language. This extracted information is then translated into sign language using the VirtualSign Application Programming Interface (API). This innovative approach not only bridges the communication gap between hearing and deaf communities but also empowers deaf individuals to access information previously unavailable to them. Through technological advancements and collaborative efforts, our solution strives to foster a more inclusive and accessible world, ensuring that everyone has equal access to educational resources.
