It highlights both the common trends and the disparity in the application of violence between the opposing sides and how it evolved throughout the conflict. Differences in methods and motivations behind violence are explored, considering political, military, social, cultural, and gender factors. The analysis reveals the complexity of violence dynamics, influenced by ideological and contextual variables and local and national contextual variables. A detailed insight is provided into how the logic of violence varied on each side throughout the war.
