Parenting teenagers with ADHD presents a unique set of challenges to an already difficult task. In this chapter, we review the complex interplay of developmental changes associated with adolescence, including new academic and social expectations, in the context of evolving parent-child interactions. We review the existing literature on child, parent, and family risk factors associated with poor outcomes, and interventions designed to mitigate these risks.
