Cleft palate (CP) originates at the uvula, causing uvula bifida, and progresses along the midline involving the soft palate or both the soft palate and the hard palate; in addition, a cleft lip and cleft palate (CLP) starts at the lip and continues backward involving the alveolus, the hard, and the soft palate [2].
