Healthy ecosystems are crucial for maintaining clear water, nutrients in the soil, fresh air, and a stable climate. Over the past few decades, it has been observed that an increase in population, industrialization, and unsustainable agricultural practices is causing severe pollution of air, water, and soil. This has led to ecological damage, loss of biodiversity, climate change, disruption of the balance of ecosystems, and loss of human health. Ecosystem remediation involves different processes or strategies used to reduce these problems and to restore the natural environment. In the current scenario, carbon nanocomposites and artificial intelligence are bringing revolutionary changes in every field. The unique properties of nanomaterials like high surface area and excellent chemical stability make them ideal for removing pollutants. On the other hand, artificial intelligence techniques have further improved the potential of these materials by identifying their properties at an accurate and faster rate. This chapter is focused on how nanotechnology and artificial intelligence are playing an important role in environmental remediation.

摘要
