Clinical and Laboratory Assessment
摘要
During the fabrication and placement of prostheses, clinicians and dental technicians must address several challenges. Potential prosthodontic problems associated with implant therapy include prosthesis misfit, screw distortion and loosening, component fracture, and implant failure. Each phase of the fabrication process may involve a minor inaccuracy, which could result in a positional distortion in relation to the implants. The advent of new technologies for framework production means that it is imperative to assess passive fit before the fabrication of the definitive prosthesis or its framework to avoid prosthesis remakes.
