The article is devoted to the problems of criminal cases digitalization. The topic is relevant in connection with the digitalization of the economy during the fourth Industrial revolution (Industry 4.0). The possibilities of converting criminal proceedings into digital form and related problems are investigated from the point of view of system analysis. The information flows in the interaction of subjects of criminal proceedings with possible threats to information security are analyzed. First of all, attention is focused on the technical aspects of the digital criminal cases transformation, slightly touching on the legal aspects of this issue. The digital transformation of one of the most conservative aspects of society – criminal justice – is quite real if a number of conditions are met. The digitization of criminal cases has a number of advantages over the traditional paper form, and at the same time there are certain problems associated with digital transformation.
