Incorporating Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain to Empower Cybersecurity Applications: Challenges and Solutions

Technologies nowadays have evolved dramatically to fulfill several aspects of every industry and ease daily operations. This significant shift in adapting digital systems comes along with an increase in these system's risks. The complexity of these systems proved that the existing security systems are no longer applicable due to the weak security techniques. Artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain technologies present different characteristics within their nature that are seen to alleviate security risks, which are increasingly prevalent and influential elements restructuring and outlining global trends in Information and Communications Technology (ICT). This paper reviews the most recent research on integrating Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence for cybersecurity applications. Combining the two technologies can offer a strong shield against security threats and increase the efficiency of applications. This paper examines the challenges artificial intelligence and blockchain face in perceiving cybersecurity. The study finds that Blockchain's secure characteristics, including decentralization, immutability, and reliability, can empower AI’s critical issues by providing a protected and trustful platform.
