Because it is important to strike a balance between the needs for growth and environmental safeguards. Sustainable Development is considered to be a process or concept by which the development can be continued and transported over time as well through moderate exploitation of natural resources while keep assuring sustainability in such way that future generations also get benefited with availability these resources. This progress is sustainable only if environmental balance can be maintained. The combination of an environmental and social framework influences overall the quality of life through economic, social as well as cultural policies for a sustainable development and environment protection. And this raises the question, what then is or should be the role of legal legislation in furthering and fulfilling on the Sustainable Development Goals?
