Artificial Intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing the healthcare industry by providing innovative solutions to most challenges. Healthcare applications of AI include: medical imaging and diagnostic tools that can provide accuracy and early detection; virtual patient care which improves accessibility through telemedicine; medical research and drug discovery, patient engagement and compliance with personalized health management tools; administrative applications reduce routine operations and costs and enhance efficiency of healthcare providers; personalized medicine tailors treatments based on patients data; and finally medical education and training which offers advanced learning tools for healthcare professionals. This chapter follows a review approach, synthesizing findings from the latest existing literature on AI applications in healthcare. Finally, thematic analysis was used to analyze the data extracted from the latest literature.
