The purpose of this study is to examine how managers of industrial firms view benefits, drawbacks, needs and challenges of implementing AI in SCM. A representative sample of 23 managers from various Jordanian industrial firms was chosen using a purposive sampling technique. Semi-structured interviews with managers were conducted to gain a thorough grasp of their perceptions with regard to implementing AI in SCM. Thematic analysis was performed to explore recurring themes and patterns pertaining to benefits, drawbacks, and needs perceptions as well as challenges of implementing AI in SCM. Results of the study will assist manufacturers, policymakers, and other stakeholders in the industrial sector to align their plans with managers’ perceptions, which promotes the overall integration of AI in SCM. This study offers thorough insights into managers’ attitudes and concerns about the integration of AI in SCM, making an important contribution to the field and influencing future legislative initiatives.
